On
June 5 - 7, 2002, UniCon
Software GmbH held its first
product training for the eLux
product line: Embedded Linux
(eLux®), ELIAS
image builder and the
management tool Scout eL.
The
training was a success. It
took place at the UniCon
offices in the modern
ENBW-Haus in Karlsruhe,
Baden-Württemberg. The first
day concentrated on eLux and
ELIAS and the second day on
Scout eL. A third day covering
the eLux Builder Kit was
optional.
The
group was intentionally kept
small to insure one-on-one
trainer attention and
encourage participation. An
emphasis was placed on
hands-on practice and
troubleshooting “real world”
problems.
The
pace was intense. More than 20
eLux topics were covered,
ranging from eLux basics (user
settings, defining
applications) to more complex
topics (such as printing and
recovery) to new features in
version 1.1 (such as
diagnostics tab). For Scout
eL, special emphasis was
placed on how to get the most
out of Scout eL for ease in
administration as well as
introducing participants to
Scout eL’s help desk
features.
The
maximum number of participants
attended. Due to the
overwhelming positive
response, UniCon is currently
preparing for more training
sessions. Information on
upcoming courses will be
posted at www.myelux.com.
